Welcome Back!

I hope you had a wonderful summer and a good start back into the school year.  I have a few announcements to start the dance year that I wanted to be sure I got out to you as soon as possible.

 

Harlem Wizards- We have been asked to perform a half-time show for the Harlem Wizards fundraiser at Cochranton Elementary on October 1.  The Harlem Wizards are a celebrity basketball group similar to the Harlem Globetrotters.  The game begins at 6:30pm and halftime would occur around 7:30.  All halftime dancers would receive free admission to the game.  If you are interested in participating you must attend 4 of the following practice options: Saturday 9/14 9:00-9:45; Sunday 9/15 6:00-6:45; Friday 9/20 5:15-6:00; Sunday 9/22 6:00-6:45; Friday 9/27 5:15-6:00; Saturday 9/28 9:00-9:45; Sunday 9/29 6:00-6:45.  Please let sign-up no later than Friday, September 13 if you plan to participate.  Dancers should be in 1^st grade and up.

  Movement Unlimited Parade Group Are you interested in dancing in the Meadville Halloween Parade?  Miss Heather is organizing a group of dancers to dance through the parade.  Commitment is 2 practices (there will be close to 10 practice options to choose from) and cost is $5 (for the group t-shirt).  Dancers must be in 1^st grade in order to participate.  Please let Miss Heather know or sign up on the info board by September 20.

Halloween Parade- Meadville, PA Saturday, October 26

 Parking- Please do not use the parking lot behind the dance studio if you are parking prior to 5pm.  The parking spaces are leased for people working at nearby businesses from 7am-5pm.  If you use the lots you risk receiving a ticket or a tow.  The affected lots are posted with this information.  There are metered parking spots directly behind Erie Bank and between Maninno’s and the Academy Theater.  After 5pm the lot directly behind the studio is able to be parked in without risk of ticket. 

Announcements, Billing, Newsletters- Tuition reminders and newsletters will be sent home sometime during the last week of the month for the upcoming month.  There is a bulletin board in the studio where all Announcements/reminders and Newsletters will be posted.  Please be sure to ask your student for papers and check the bulletin board for new announcements/reminders regularly.

Finally, our Fall Open House and Registration nights will be held on Monday, August 12 from 2-5:30pm, Tuesday, August 13 from 4-8pm, and Wednesday, August 14 from 2-5:30pm. Be sure to stop in to register for classes, get sized for shoes and to see our new space.

We're Moving! Summer Camps!

We are so excited to announce that we are moving to a new location this month.  You can now find Movement Unlimited Dance Studio at 291 Chestnut Street in Meadville, PA.  We will have an Open House later this summer, so be sure to come in and check out our new digs!

Summer is coming soon-- do you have your plans set yet?  How about checking out our summer camps! We have several options for varying age groups.  Summer Camp Options  We'd love to have you join us.  If you have questions, call or email us (814-337-8579 or movementunlimited@zoominternet.net).   You do not have to be a current student in order to participate in our summer camps, nor does signing up commit you to anything beyond camp.  There is not a requirement in dance experience, so whether you dance with us already or not, have danced for many years or never taken a formal dance class, you will be welcome to attend our summer camps.  Check us out and share with your friends!
